During his 26 years in the Insurance Industry Shane has gained considerable experience in many facets of underwriting and broking.
He has gathered vast experience in a range of disciplines, suited to both Small to Medium Enterprises and Corporate Entities.
Whilst maintaining technical competence with a wide range of insurance contracts, he spent several years developing additional specialist expertise in the area of Professional Risks Insurances.
This incorporates Directors & Officers Liability Insurance, Professional Indemnity Insurance, Superannuation Trustee Liability Insurance, Crime Insurance and other related insurances.
Shane has increased his knowledge in the broader field of risk management and is a Certified Practicing Risk Manager (CPRM).
Shane has been directly involved in the technical review of almost all SIRS’ clients and maintains a relationship with most of our clients.
He has regularly written articles on aspects of insurance and risk management, particularly Directors & Officers Liability Insurance.

Colin established Strategic Insurance & Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (SIRS) as an independent insurance and risk consultancy in January 2000.
Colin has spent the majority of his 35 year business career in the Insurance Broking, Advisory and Risk Management fields.
He has worked for Australian owned and International companies, becoming a Director for the first time in 1979 for an International Insurance Broker.

- Director and Chief Executive-Operations and Shareholder
In 2009 Colin was appointed as a Director of RailCorp New South Wales. Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp) aims to deliver safe, clean and reliable passenger services. RailCorpprovides metropolitan passenger rail services viaCityRailand long distance services via CountryLink.
RailCorp is responsible for the safe operation, crewing and maintenance of passenger trains and stations. It owns and maintain the metropolitan rail network and provides access to freight operators in the metropolitan area.
RailCorp’s workforce exceeds 14,000.
He has been involved in virtually all facets of insurance and risk management either as a practitioner or manager including:

Colin has travelled extensively to major insurance markets and has enjoyed close affiliations with the Association of Risk and Insurance Managers Australasia (ARIMA) and the Risk and Insurance Managers Society Inc. USA (RIMS).
He has provided advice to the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and its members since 1987.
He has completed the Company Directors Diploma.
Colin has presented on many occasions for AICD on D&O Insurance. He has also presented to boards of publicly listed companies, to clients of major law firms and other organisations.
He co-authored the AICD publication; “A Guide to Directors & Officers Liability Insurance” (First Edition June 2001).
He has written many articles on D&O Insurance and related Corporate Governance Issues.
Colin currently acts as an “outsourced risk manager” for some Australian public listed companies and consults extensively to major corporations and law firms in Australia.

42 years experience in Insurance Broking involving management, marketing and servicing roles.
His main roles have been servicing major national and multi-national accounts across all classes of insurance.
During the last ten years he was the Principal Servicer/Adviser for major law firms in Australia and Hong Kong for an International Insurance Broker.
Alan’s experience has been gained mainly in Australia. He has additional experience as the Director in Charge of an international insurance broking house based in Papua New Guinea. He has also travelled regularly to London to negotiate with London and Lloyd’s underwriters.
In recent years this has mainly been for large law firms.
